Tanglo

Tanglo is a local club where people of all ages go to the Memorial Hall on Monday evenings between 7:00pm and 9:00pm in order to crochet or knit. The youngest member is 9 years old and the oldest in their 70s! The name ‘Tanglo’ came from one of the children one evening whilst they were talking. At eight o’clock they will have a cup of tea and a biscuit and the children take it in turn to serve the others. They get taught to knit and crochet by the adults. Around twice a year Delyth from the wool shop in Porthmadog comes to the club and sells us wool and patterns of things to make. Being part of the Tanglo club is a good opportunity to learn to knit and that is something you won’t forget. We held an open evening to raise money towards Erin’s Appeal on 25 October 2013.
